Local Energy Action Plan (LEAP)

Local Energy Action Plan – (LEAP) LEAP was initially established in 2010 by residents from Lochwinnoch who wanted to make a difference to the environment at a local level.  LEAP established itself in 2012 as a legal entity as a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) to enable us to meet the aspirations of the voluntary board of trustees and the steering group.

LEAP has continued to grow and develop from its initial work in energy efficiency advice for people in their homes within Lochwinnoch and the surrounding village to develop a range of ‘not-for-profit’ enterprising initiatives including a community based ‘pay-as-you-go’ car hire scheme, LEAP Car Club and commercial services for businesses and third sector organisations across Renfrewshire to help them reduce their energy costs and increase efficiency.

LEAP help the Third and Private Sectors substantially reduce costs while increasing the sustainability of the daily activity of the organisation.

Engage Hub

Our office in Paisley is a hub for local and national organisations including Shelter Scotland, West College Scotland, Prince's Trust, Renfrewshire Access Panel, Capability Scotland and the Scottish Football Association.

A fully equipped meeting room is available for hire with discounted rates given to members.
